Mrs. Song - Founder and CEO
Mrs. Song is the founder of Xing Academy and a former Chinese language teacher in the DC public school system. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Maryland, an MBA from Peking University, and possesses advanced teaching licenses in World Languages (PreK-12th Grade) for both DC and Maryland. With over 12 years of experience teaching in the United States, she has taught Chinese language and culture to children from Elementary to Highschool. She previously served as a Center Director at an adult English training company in China and worked for a Fortune 500 corporation, where she advanced from a frontline position to a managerial role and led corporate training programs for employees for many years.
Becoming a parent enhanced Mrs. Song's understanding of the need for high-quality language education for children. This inspired her to start Xing Academy, aiming to develop classes and immersive experiences helping children explore the multicultural world through second language learning.
Mrs. Wei - Education and Program Director
Mrs. Wei is an expert in international and family education with 25 years of teaching experience in both China and the United States. Formerly the principal of a renowned international school and the Xingdongfang(新东方) Language Training School in China, and currently serves as the Head of the Chinese Program for a DC Public School.
She possesses a deep familiarity with international curricula, including IPC, IGCSE, A-level, and AP, and holds unique insights into multilingual education. Many of their former students have been accepted into prestigious universities worldwide.
Mrs. Li - Adult Language Program Director
Ms. Li brings 8 years of hands-on experience teaching Chinese in American private elementary and secondary schools, where she was beloved by students for her thorough and engaging teaching style. Since 2023, she has shifted her focus to adult language education, specializing in instructing professionals, including U.S. diplomats. She is passionately dedicated to advancing the field of Chinese language instruction and providing effective, practical support for learners of all backgrounds.
